Yesterday saw the launch of Shakespeare Forum 2013 in Bahia, a partnership between People’s Palace Projects and Teatro Vila Velha. The event was opened by Gina Leite, General Coordinator at Teatro Vila Velha, with a presentation by Paul Heritage about the history of the project and his personal experience working with Shakespeare in Brazil. Paul went on to reveal the full programme of activities planned for the week-long Shakespeare Forum in February 2013 and officially declared enrolment open. You can watch the launch event by clicking here.

PPP are particularly excited about Shakespeare Forum 2013 because for the very first time it’s taking place in Salvador in the state of Bahia. This multi-disciplinary artistic exchange will take place between the 18 and 24 February 2013, involving workshops, seminars and master classes for actors, directors, students and professors. To take part, you need to enrol, which you can do by clicking here.

Shakespeare Forum is supported by FUNCEB (State of Bahia Cultural Foundation) and is part of the British Council’s Transform programme.
