Research Development Consultant (freelance)
Pedro Gabriel Ferreira is a cultural rights advocate and specialist in international cultural policy, who works with PPP in our Indigenous Exchange & Climate Action strand.
He holds an MSc in Social and Human Sciences from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS, Paris) and a BA in Social Sciences from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro. Currently, Pedro is a PhD Candidate at Queen Mary University of London, supported by the HSS Principal’s Studentship, where his research explores the intersections of human rights, cultural policies, and environmental challenges.
Alongside his academic work, Pedro collaborates with UNESCO Headquarters in the Social and Human Sciences Sector, contributing to the Art-Lab for Human Rights and Dialogue, with projects spanning Brazil, Ukraine, and Chad.
Fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, and Italian, Pedro is committed to building intercultural bridges and advancing inclusive global agendas through research, advocacy, and collaborative action. His work focuses on amplifying the voices of marginalized communities, youth, and displaced populations, transforming local knowledge into public policy through Human Rights-Based Approaches (HRBA).
