Broadly, her academic work explores the relationships between contemporary playwriting and text-based performance, the institutional contexts in which this work is developed, and the role these works and practices play in the UK’s theatre and performance ecology specifically, and how they circulate internationally. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Cat has worked with People’s Palace Projects since 2016 in a variety of roles, most recently as a Research Grants Coordinator, and as a Facilitator and Project Evaluator on Creative Climate Connections.
