Between July and November 2019, People’s Palace Projects joined Agência de Redes para Juventude and Redes da Maré to co-create a shared learning programme about innovative social technologies and methodologies to measure the socio-economic impact of art: Beyond Exchange. 40 young people working in cultural and artistic projects in the periphery and favelas of the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area participated in the programme. They discussed issues of territory, learned research techniques, and carried out their own evaluations research with the support of researchers academics.
This publication is an account of those young people’s journeys and presents the result of their enquiries research on into the impact of their actions on their communities.
