Project Coordinator, Stages
Kalina Toromanova is a cultural researcher, artist and education activist. She holds a BA degree in Drama (2019) and an MA in Live Art (2020) from Queen Mary University of London. Her writing and practice focus on the sphere of visual art and performance, particularly in Eastern Europe. She has presented at several national and international conferences, including BCUR (British Conference for Undergraduate Research), and has been named a ‘Leader of Tomorrow’ by the international St. Gallen Symposium (2021).
Together with student colleagues, Kalina is a co-founder of the award-winning Stage 3 Company (2018) – an activist theatre group, and a PPP associate, exploring socio-political themes through performance. Since 2019 she works as Project Coordinator for STAGES (Stages Initiative / PPP), currently developing and expanding the Stages Toolkit in universities and schools.
