The Agency is looking for people aged 15-25 from the Clapham Junction and Battersea area of London or the Moston and Harpurhey areas of Manchester, with ideas that need to happen.
Lead UK partners Battersea Arts Centre and Contact Theatre will provide support, advice from industry professionals and funding to develop your passion into a project. This could be anything from a boxing workshop to a music festival. You will then pitch your idea to a panel and, if successful, be given £2000 to turn it into a real project or enterprise in your area.
Previous winning ideas have included music platform IAMNEXT (London) and baking project CRUMBS (Manchester).
Now in its third year, The Agency is modeled on the highly successful Brazilian project Agência de Redes Para a Juventude led by Marcus Faustini. People’s Palace Projects are proud to be project partners supporting the exchange, training and knowledge transfer between Brazil and the UK that is integral to the project. The Agency’s first two years were funded by Calouste Gulbenkian UK Foundation’s Gulbenkian Performance Award, and the partners are grateful for the support of Big Lottery Fund in 2015-17 under its Awards for All and Reaching Communities programmes.
