Exhibition: Dignity and Resistance, London
Community pathways for resisting gendered urban violence in Rio de Janeiro and London.
Exhibition presents a range of creative outputs including photography, illustration, multimedia video and podcasts.
The launch will include a round table led by Professor Cathy McIlwaine sharing the findings of the research 'Resisting Violence, Creating Dignity: negotiating Violence Against Women and Girls through community history-making in Rio de Janeiro'. Cathy will be joined by Fieldwork Managers from the Women's House of Maré in Rio - Julia Leal and Fernanda Vieira - and Research Associate from the project, Moniza Rizzini Ansari.
The exhibition, open to the public, run through 13th May.
