Rights in Cultural Heritage: an international research and collaboration network exploring the connections between cultural rights, cultural heritage and climate action.

Project Overview

RICH is an international research and collaboration network exploring connections between cultural rights, cultural heritage and climate action. It brings together civil society organisations, research institutions and international partners across the UK, Brazil, Pakistan, Belgium, Ukraine and Peru. The project aims to consolidate the relationship between culture as heritage and culture as a right, while looking at the role of people, communities and cultural organisations in responding to the climate crisis.

Report: The Rightful Place of Culture

One of the main outputs of this phase will be the report The Rightful Place of Culture. It is intended to present the key findings of this process: the context and the issues that drive RICH, the experiences and perspectives of its partners, questions emerging from the research, and recommendations and priorities for the network’s next stage. The report is not conceived simply as a record of the current project: it should help consolidate the network’s identity, positioning and research agenda for the years ahead.
